5S309 : 1930's Black Net and Lace Gown
Gorgeous late 1930's, early 1940's black net gown with lace accents on the skirt and bodice. The net is a fine mesh, probably rayon. The bodice has a square neckline trimmed with lace insets. The waist is completely made of lace, as well as the puffed sleeve cuffs. There is a pink velvet flower corsage attached to the waist that is worn, but the flowers make a great contrast with the pink against the black net. The skirt is long and flowing with several tiers of lace. Side metal zipper. Condition: the dress has several pinholes, but a black slip would help hide this problem. The dress was photographed with a pink slip to show the fabric (slip not included). The dress is very pretty and wearable.
