Helft's of Beverly Hills black silk 1960's dress with dramatic ruffle trim. Helft's was a Beverly Hill's boutique carrying top designer clothing. The dress is medium weight, fully lined with a black cotton fabric. The ruffle stands-up on its own, the edges lined with a plastic thread that creates the swirled ruffle effect. Empire waistline with an attached sash that closes in back with snaps and a hook and eye. The skirt is a-line, the hem tailored with a v in the front and rounded around the sides, the ruffle trim following the cut. Plastic zipper up the back, which may be a replacement.

Condition: Excellent. Fabric is slightly rumpled along the ruffle hem, but nothing noticeable. The belt may have been altered at the closure in back. Zipper may have been replaced. Dress has been steamed, spot cleaned and pressed.
