| Gorgeous Swiss couture 1950's silk Marty Modell evening gown and matching wrap. The fabric is a somewhat starched light grey silk with dark grey and grey-blue bold flower print. The bodice is beautifully constructed, the fabric painstakingly hand tucked & crisscrossed around the front & back. Wire stays shape the bust line. The inside has couture construction with spiral-shaped bustline, see close-ups. The skirt is very full and flared, a muted peach silk underskirt. Metal zipper up the back. Tag reads, "Ensemble Shop" & "Marty Modell." Condition: Very good. The dress does not have any major problems, but there are a couple small light brown spots on the skirt (center & near hem). The busy sheer fabric helps hide the spots, but they are there. There is also a very tiny fray on the back of the skirt (see close-ups). The back at the zipper looks like it may have been adjusted (over an inch seam if you need more
room in the bodice).
