Dan Millstein produced high end coats and suits in the 1950's & 60's, "adaptations of Balmain and Balenciaga" during the 1950's. The wool is extremely soft, almost like a cashmere. Neat paired black textured buttons down the front. Stylish collar that can be pushed up or sit around the shoulders. Large tucks at the waist. Fully lined with silky black satin. Labels include "Dan Millstein, New York, Paris", "Bonwit Teller" and "Blin + Blin, Fabulous French Woolen" with the number printed "2703,50." Condition: No holes or stains and no problems with lining. Number "68" written with a marker on the Blin + Blin tag.
