Gorgeous 1950's custom Bergdorf Goodman black lace cocktail dress. Bodice is a thick net lace over a silk crepe bustier with boning. Cap sleeves, fitted bust and waist. Black satin attached belt with a satin bow to the side. Skirt is silk crepe and formfitting with a dramatic net overskirt that drapes down the left side of the skirt. This net skirt has a wide lace trim. Metal zipper up the back. The custom order label reads, "Bergdorf Goodman, On the Plaza, New York." The customer's name, date 3/7/1958 and "Desoline", possibly the style of the dress.

Condition: very good with no noticeable problems. There is a small pulled hole in the net on the skirt and around the zipper there are a couple pulls and a mend near the waist seam. These are not noticeable due to the dark fabric in back of the net. There are a couple breaks in the lace on the back of the bodice, nothing major. The silk part of the dress is fine, no problems.
