Unique late 1940's/early 1950's Anna Miller black suit jacket with buttons that run off-center to one side. The fabric is a finely woven wool, almost a crepe. In the back there is an angled pleat with buttons running diagonally along it. Fitted bust and waist with a shaped flared hip. There are two pockets along the right side of the jacket, one above the other, to complete the asymmetrical look. Long sleeves with little cuffs. Lined with a red crepe which peaks through the sleeve cuffs - nice dramatic touch. Label reads, "Anna Miller." Some background on this label: Anna Miller was the sister of designer Maurice Retner, but she was not the designer of her label. In fact, famed Hollywood designer Earl Luick was the designer and in the late 1940's was accompanied by Bill Blass, who later became head designer in the 1950's. In other words, this jacket was either designed by Blass or Luick.

Condition: Very good to excellent. Outside looks excellent. Inside lining has some marks from wear, but nothing noticeable. No holes or problems.
