Saks Fifth Avenue black ruched silk chiffon 1950's evening dress with a shelf bust design. The bodice has gathered shoulder straps and a boned bustier bodice covered with ruched fabric front and back. A piece of fabric runs from underarm to underarm under the bust (the shelf style bodice). The skirt is full and gored with a separate acetate or rayon underskirt. The bodice is fully lined with the same acetate/rayon fabric. Metal zipper up the side.
