Fabulous early 1940's dark blue chiffon dress with ruffle
trimmed bolero jacket. Originally a women's wedding suit back
in the 40's. The fabric is painstakingly made with vertical
ribbing. The bodice of the dress has slightly puffed sleeves,
a decorative fold down the front and a bow at the neckline.
Darts along the shoulders. Gored flared skirt. The bolero
has puffed sleeves and a scalloped trim with decorative blue
buttons set within each scallop. White organza and lace ruffle
around the front and neckline. Side metal zipper. Condition:
The white ruffle trim on the bolero has a couple age spots
and a couple small holes (on the age spots). The chiffon is
in wonderful condition, no problems found. The ruffle does
not look to be original the dress and can be easily removed.
Belt loops, no belt. |
