2S073 : 1930's Flowered Rayon Two Piece Dress |
|
A 1930's either rayon or silk crepe de chine flower print
dress suit. The fabric is soft and silky, brown with pink,
purple and blue flowers interspersed with white doily-type
designs. The top has a pointed floppy collar and necktie.
Short slightly puffed sleeves and tailored decorative plackets
down the chest (see close-ups). Snap closures up the front
of bodice. Straight fitted skirt with front and back kick-pleats.
Tag reads, "Gloria Howard Originals." Condition:
very good. Fabric is not as bright or crisp as it probably
was originally, most likely from washing, but does not detract.
Fabric is clean and sturdy. No holes or stains. Wonderful
1930's fabric in a finely tailored style. |
