Late 1920's black velvet dropped-waisted dress with an embroidered
leaf design on the left breast. The embroidered leaves are
sewn with metal thread, very subtle. Dress is sleeveless with
a rounded neckline. There are gathers along the side seams.
The dropped-waist falls above the hips. There is piping along
the dropped-waist and gathers where the skirt meets the piping.
Rounded hem. Side snap opening. Condition: Very good. Some
marks on the velvet, one larger mark at bottom hem in front where velvet is crushed, most likely from a spill.
No holes or underarm problems. Velvet is sturdy and the dress
is very wearable. Excellent 1920's dress for wear. |
