1920's blue knit
skirted Jantzen swimsuit. Spaghetti tie straps which crisscross
and tie in back. The yarn has a slight sheen and is a deep
midnight blue color. Bustline and hips tailored to hug silhouette.
Has the embroidered logo of woman in red bathing suit diving
below left hip. Tag reads, "Jantzen, made in U.S.A.,
F.H. Rogers & Co. Barre, Vt, Size 40, Made with Lastex,
The Miracle Yarn" 40 refers to the bust size and this
a larger sized suit. Condition: Has a couple mends (darned),
two large ones (one on the bust and another on the left hip.
A couple small holes on the shorts that need to be darned.
Wearable with a little work. Would not recommend for actual
swimming, but great for a costume, photo shoot, etc... This
is a fine example of one of the first bathing suits that were
revealing and sexy. |
