Unique design early 1960's Werle of Beverly Hills high end black wool boucle dress with bow details. Dan Werle, the designer behind the majority of Loretta Young's dresses on her tv show, sold his designs to the public through his Beverly Hills boutique. Dress is formfitting, although the wool is somewhat loose in the back, there is an inner dress of silk crepe that you can see in the close-ups. There are in fact two zippers, one for the interior silk lining and one for the wool dress. The bodice has a dramatic cut with a piece over the bust that slightly points out at the shoulders. V-neckline with a bow at the center. Tucks and pleats above and below the bow. The back has a similar design. 3/4 length sleeves.
Condition: excellent. The only problem is where the zipper on the inner silk lining had to be shortened due to a couple lost teeth near the bottom, but still opens enough to get in the dress and does not effect the outside of the outfit.
