Oleg Cassini late 1950's black wool military-inspired cocktail dress. We have had tuxedo-inspired 1950's Cassini dresses in the past. Fitted bust, waist and hips. High neckline, long sleeves and the Cassini trademark zipper sleeve openings. A brown satin across the chest and outlined with the wool, two rows of 4 shiny brass buttons down the front. Look at the detail work here - the satin design on the chest is seamlessly inset in the bodice and those are bound button holes, which are rather time-consuming considering they are just for decoration. Hard to see in the pics, but there is some nice tailoring along the waist and hips giving the dress a formfitting cut. Bodice lined with rayon/acetate, skirt partially lined. Tag reads, "Oleg Cassini," black and white label. Metal zipper up the back (as well as on the sleeves).

Condition: Excellent. No flaws found.
