1950's GiGi Young, the stylish off-shoot company of Suzy Perette, black faille party dress with velvet accents. A medium weight faille fabric with a slight sheen. The bodice has a flattering cut straight across the bust with shoulder straps that widen as they reach the shoulder. Boned bodice, fitted bust and waist. The skirt poofs out on the sides with a built-in crinoline adding volume. The front of the skirt is backed with a stiff fabric to create shape. The dramatic velvet side pockets jut out with flap openings. The back has a V dip and a metal zipper opening. Label reads, "GiGi Young, New York."
Condition: very good. Some slight iron marks on the fabric, slight wear. Slight wear and discoloration to underarms. Dress would benefit from a dry cleaning.
