1950's Helga Oppenheimer gold silk brocade cocktail dress. The brocade fabric has a metallic weave in the flowers, very pretty! Pieces have been added to the shoulders for modesty (and can be easily removed). Original dress has a more dramatic, almost off-the-shoulder design. Both cap sleeves have a fanned out draped design. A draped sash sweeps down across the bodice from right to left, following around the back. The right side of the skirt in back folds over the skirt like a swag, snaps into place below the waistline with a couple tailored tucks and a decorative bow. Dress is fully lined with a white silk organza. Dress has Helga label, also a boutique label, "Evelyn Gibson Gowns."

Condition: Excellent, fabric is wonderful, no flaws found. As noted, pieces have been added to the shoulders for modesty and can be easily removed.
