Stylish Claire McCardell black wool dress with black buttons up the front of the dress and a wrap waist tie. The tie is attached around the back of the dress, several feet in length so that it can be wrapped numerous times around the waist like a Japanese obi - a signature design of Claire McCardell. The fabric is a a very soft light weight wool. Fine pleating at the side waist of the skirt and two hidden side pockets. Label reads, "Claire McCardell Clothes by Townley."

Condition: Beautiful dress in excellent condition with no noticeable issues. Dress has been thoroughly examined for any flaws inside and out. Clean and well cared for, no stains or loose seams, no underarm wear. On close inspection there is a small blemish to the wool fabric on the bodice that is not noticeable (a slightly shiny spot). There is a small well done darn on the right side of the skirt and two tiny holes on the first layer of fabric of the belt that are not noticeable due to the doubled fabric. The skirt has been taken up and can be let down a couple inches.
