Item: 5S870

Perfect for spring and a piece of California fashion history. Early 1960's Addie Masters floral print raw silk cocktail dress with unique side arm swags. Addie Masters was a successful and well known California fashion designer, starting her career in 1940 and known for her casual, yet sophisticated designs [vintagefashionguild.com]. Fabric is lightweight and airy, brightly colored in orange, hot pink, yellow and green. Fully lined with a sheer white silk organza. That early 1960's style, fitted in the waist and hips, slight looseness in the bodice with pleating along the side waistline. Straight skirt with a back kick pleat, front pleats at the hips and back darts along the waistline. Hidden side pockets. You can see the quality of the workmanship in how the lining is completely finished with mirrored darts at the bust and back waist, and the piping like finish along the neck and armholes. Metal zipper up the back. Comes with the original order tag reading "Orange" and label, "Addie Masters, California."

Condition: Excellent/Near mint. Dress appears unworn and mint with the exception of the lining which has a couple faint yellow spots and a repair above the back kick pleat where someone pulled the seam, neither of which are visible or detract. No holes, visible stains, snags, loose seams, or visible wear.
