(Sorry about the yellow pictures - the hat is black) Wonderful velvet poppies decorate the front of this early 1920's black woven horse hair cloche hat. The velvet poppies hues of gold with splashes of dark blue and purple. A gold velvet appliquéd center with faux pollination. There are three tucks across the top with finely gathered bunches at the sides. Very nice and shiny.

Condition: The hat only has a couple very small frays that are not noticeable. There are holes and a rips to the inside lining. You can see where the front of the hat is backed with what looks like tissue paper, which is starting to break down - may have been added to the hat to improve the fit, but can be easily removed. Gorgeous hat in great condition.
